The premise of the project entails capturing lavish yet modest living space in a newly-built apartment building within the midst of the hustle and bustle of Jakarta city life. An interplay between the colors green and taupe is introduced as an attempt to build a warm ambience that is seemingly blended with the bold characteristics of wooden flooring and loose furniture. The combination of white statuario granite slabs with gold underlay serves as the main attraction within the living room. Curved wooden cabinets were added to maximize storage spaces while introducing a subtle design gesture. The negotiation between these elements were composed to complement each other, hence creating a space where the user could feel at ease whilst showing an undertone of a luxurious lifestyle.
